Kellen Winslow Sr. Ultimate NFL Career Highlights
No position in Football has undergone more evolution than Tight End, and no man contributed more to that growth than Kellen Winslow Sr. As the engine of the Air Coryell offense, Winslow was the first Tight End to play essentially anywhere on the field, whether that be outside, in the slot, or run blocking at the line of scrimmage. Though the pinnacle of his career was relatively brief, his stretch from 1980 to 1983 is among the most dominant peaks of any skill player in history.

Mike Webster Ultimate NFL Career Highlights
Просмотров 69 тыс.4 года назад
After falling to the 5th round in the 1974 draft, no one really expected much from this undersized Center out of Wisconsin. But what Mike Webster lacked in size, he made up for with strength and physicality. The engine of the Steelers offense for nearly two decades, Webster was perhaps the most crucial piece of their rushing attack. With his stocky build and tree trunk arms, he was well equippe...
Dan Hampton Ultimate NFL Career Highlights
Просмотров 24 тыс.4 года назад
Hall of Famer Dan Hampton was the heart and soul of the Chicago Bears defense of the 1980s. He didn't put up gaudy numbers like Richard Dent due to the nature of his position, nor was he as vocal of a leader as Singletary, but his consistent play and toughness set the physical tone that made the Bears infamous. He was capable of playing anywhere on the line and was always willing to be used whe...
Richard Dent Ultimate NFL Career Highlights
Просмотров 23 тыс.4 года назад
Though overshadowed by many of his contemporaries like White and Taylor, Richard Dent was among the most productive pass rushers of the 1980s and was arguably the most dominant force on the legendary 1985 Bears team. His technique was truly complete; he could beat opponents around the edge with speed, overpower them with strength, or finesse them with elite hand skills. He amassed 8 double-digi...
William "Refrigerator" Perry Ultimate NFL Career Highlights
Просмотров 231 тыс.4 года назад
Though made famous by his unorthodox "Big Man" touchdowns, William Perry was much more than just a gadget player. He was the anchor of the Chicago Bears run defense during their historic Super Bowl run, and was the prototypical Two-Gap Nose Tackle of his era, demonstrating athleticism against both the run and the pass, and paving the way for future big men like Wilfork, Ngata, and Hampton. Song...
Mike Singletary Ultimate NFL Career Highlights
Просмотров 85 тыс.4 года назад
Mike Singletary did not have the physical attributes of many of his contemporaries and predecessors. He was not elite in coverage like Jack Lambert, nor was he a brutal enforcer at the line of scrimmage like Dick Butkus. What made Singletary a special player were his intangibles, namely intelligence and leadership. He was the play caller for the defensive unit of the decade, and though he might...
Randall McDaniel Ultimate NFL Career Highlights
Просмотров 12 тыс.4 года назад
From his small stature to his awkward, wide stance, Randall McDaniel was a very unorthodox player. Physical at the point of attack and unrelenting on the field, the converted tight end brought an unparalleled level of athleticism to the position, perhaps rivaled only by John Hannah in that regard. He led the Minnesota Vikings of the 1990 to eight playoff appearances and four playoff victories i...
Jonathan Ogden Ultimate NFL Career Highlights
Просмотров 18 тыс.4 года назад
It is often said that modern players are bigger, stronger, and faster now than they have ever been, but I disagree. I have yet to see another player with Jonathan Ogden's combination of size, strength, and quickness in the modern era, or any other. Standing at 6'9'' and weighing nearly 350 pounds, Ogden was the stalwart of the Baltimore Ravens offense for more than a decade, domineering opponen...
Mean Joe Greene Ultimate NFL Career Highlights
Просмотров 127 тыс.4 года назад
The greatest player in the storied history of the Pittsburgh Steelers , "Mean" Joe Greene dominated offenses for over a decade with his unparalleled explosiveness off the line of scrimmage. He racked up ten Pro Bowls in his decade-spanning career, as well multiple Defensive Player of the Year honors en route to four Super Bowl victories in the 1970s. Beyond his individual accolades though, he b...
Mel Blount Ultimate NFL Career Highlights
Просмотров 50 тыс.4 года назад
It is not often that a player is so dominant at his position that the very rules of the game had to be changed. Mel Blount was perhaps the most physical Cornerback to ever play the game, with a style of play so violent that the "Mel Blount Rule" had to be instituted in 1974 for matchups against him to remain competitive. Even after this rule change though, Blount proved that he was as technical...
Jack Lambert Ultimate NFL Career Highlights
Просмотров 418 тыс.4 года назад
The play-caller on perhaps the greatest defensive unit in league history, Jack Lambert was much more than just an intimidator. His intelligence and athleticism gave him skills in coverage that had never been seen before at the Middle Linebacker position, and he was a tackling machine against the run. He certainly made it a point to intimidate his opponents if he could, but it was always backed ...
Jack Ham Ultimate NFL Career Highlights
Просмотров 34 тыс.4 года назад
On an intimidating defense full of big personalities, the "Jackhammer" was more of a quiet presence. He wasn't big on trash talk or excessive celebrations, but despite this reserved nature, he might have been the best player on the legendary Steel Curtain defense of the 1970s, revolutionizing the Will (Weakside) Linebacker position with his incredible skills in coverage. He racked up 6 First-Te...
Joe Klecko Ultimate NFL Career Highlights
Просмотров 14 тыс.4 года назад
The son of a truck driver and hailing from the Rust Belt, Joe Klecko played with a hardened, blue-collar ethos. He was willing to play wherever he was needed, and always excelled, notching Pro Bowl selections at all of the major defensive line positions over his 11 year career with the New York Jets. He spearheaded the feared New York Sack Exchange, leading the Jets to four playoff appearances ...
Walter Jones Ultimate NFL Career Highlights
Просмотров 27 тыс.4 года назад
The cornerstone of the most dominant offensive line of the early 2000s, Walter Jones paved the way for the elite Seahawks Offense for more than a decade. Perhaps the most athletic Tackle to ever play the game, he devastated opponents with his aggressive downfield blocking and consistent, technically sound pass protection. His most illustrious season was 2005 when he blocked for MVP RB Shaun Ale...
Randy White Ultimate NFL Career Highlights
Просмотров 100 тыс.5 лет назад
Nicknamed the "Manster" (half-man, half-monster), Randy White was one of the most intimidating defenders to ever play the game, compiling 7 First-Team All-Pro selections in his illustrious career with the Dallas Cowboys. Despite being undersized compared to other defensive tackles of the era, the ferocity and quickness with which he played made him a virtually unblockable force on the Cowboys "...

Jack Lambert is still the best defensive player that I have ever seen and I used to be a cowboy fan until Jerry Jones pissed off Jimmy Johnson. Dallas will never win another superbowl because of Jerry.

I maintain he was the greatest defender I ever saw. Because you couldn't get away from him. He was shooting through the hole in the line, he was in the backfield, he was covering the deep route, he was in the middle, he was on the edge, he was everywhere. He instantly diagnosed every play, was where he needed to be, and never missed a tackle. He would get the QB, the RB, the receiver, didn't matter who. Some great defenders you could game plan away from, but not Lambert.

He is the reason I lift weights now. Much love old friend 😥

Larry Allen watching all of this all of the ''old''games but good games makes me appreciate offensive lineman and value and treasure them and even defensive linemen even more. This dude to me was the greatest at any of the line positions in the trenches literally to his last season and STILL cleaned house in the strongman competition at the pro bowl. That's how iconic he was is and always will be.Thank you Big Larry Allen for showing me the true value of football just by watching. You are forever a beloved icon by all and truly to me the most dominant lineman in NFL's long history. We'll miss you forever and will remember you forever.Rest in power big guy..you're the best🤘💙🤍
